The one down side of living in London, and yes sorry folks it really does exist! Is their sh*tty internet. Here, you get charged even MORE out the wazoo if you want good, reliable internet. We at BC have to buy DONGLES for internet service because we cannot get wireless anywhere in our building as we are not allowed to put in phone lines. The borough's been looking into putting in wireless, but there are all these issues. The first and foremost being that this place used to be a parking garage before they converted it so it'd be hard for every room to get internet. Also, there are some teachers with school laptops and they are worried what they'd download....
Pretty sure that with our lovely dongles that are preloaded with a certain amount of GB can allow teachers to download whatever they want anyways. Anyways, I haven't had internet this slow since the early 90's. Ugh. Also- my first day of supply teaching is tomorrow!!
